Parade Information
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade is held the Sunday before the federal holiday celebrating MLK's birthday day.
The parade begins at 4:00 pm.
You may register here, on-line and on the day of the parade.
Parade registration for the day-of will be conducted on-site at the Blackwell Cultural Center (375 Mill Street, Elberton, GA 30635).
Registration on the day of begins at 2:30 pm.
Participation is open to individuals, community groups, bands, motorcycles, floats, ATVs, and golf carts.
Registration is $25.00.
Banquet Information
The Ecumenical Banquet is held the Saturday before the federal holiday celebrating MLK's birthday day at the Old Rock Gym.
You may purchase tickets here, on-line, or at WSGC (radio station), Elbert County Chamber of Commerce, or from any committee member.
The ticket donation is $35.00.
Scholarship Information
Any senior attending Elbert County Comprehensive High School can complete the application and essay questions for the scholarship.
There are 4-5 scholarships in the amount of $500.00 awarded each year.
The scholarship requires an application and essay section, as well as attaching a transcript and resumé which includes school and community activities (clubs, sports, organizations), volunteer/community service projects, and leadership roles (school, church, community, etc.).
The application is available from January-March.
The link will be live on our website, or you can apply by completing the application through the registrars office at ECCHS.
See Mrs. Julie Burton for more information. Deadline for consideration is when local scholarship application are due at ECCHS.
Scholarships are awarded at the ECCHS Senior Awards Night each May.
